I know, I know, it's already 2024, but I'm still reflecting on some of my favorite reads from last year.
It was difficult choosing just one cozy (or close to cozy) mystery per month, but here are some of my favorite reads from 2023!
Calypso, Corpses, and Cooking by Raquel V. Reyes
Gone for Gouda by Korina Mos
Double Shot Death by Emmeline Duncan
Doomed by Blooms by Anna St. John
Murder at First Pitch by Nicole Asselin
Death in the Aegean by M. A. Monnin
Hard Dough Homicide by Olivia Matthews
Claws of Death by Cathy Wiley
Hallo-waiian Murder Mystery by Rosalie Spielman
Rocky Road to Ruin by Meri Allen
Assault and Pepper by Leslie Budewitz
Have you read any of these? What were your favorite mysteries from last year?
So what am I reading right now? I'm enjoying an advanced reader copy (ARC) of a book coming out later this year (I'll tell you when I can!!), but I'm also digging into a non-fiction book, Girl Sleuth: Nancy Drew and the Women Who Created Her, by Melanie Rehak.
Daphne Silver is the author of Crime and Parchment, the first book in the Rare Books Cozy Mystery Series from Level Best Books and Blackstone Audio. Follow her on Facebook and Instagram. When you sign up for her newsletter, you'll get the free short story "A Midsummer's Night Scheme."
